CorBank: a fast tool for genomic comparison

Description

CorBank is a cross-referencing system that gives exhaustive information when matching CDS of completely sequenced replicons (chromosomes and plasmids) that have been independently reannotated in the prokaryotic curated genomic databases RefSeq (NCBI) and Genome Reviews (EBI).

Fast queries

CorBank is delivering immediate cross-references between RefSeq, Genome Reviews, and UniProt.
Please enter:

a protein_id from either database and get the respective cross-references for any CDS with information about the quality of the match and summary about the whole proteome
or choose any replicon (for instance Pyrococcus abyssi) to get exhaustive information and complete lists of matches (exact or inexact), unmatching CDS that are specific to one database, putative pseudogenes, respectively.
